2025 Girls with Grit – Trade Taster
What they got back
Fifteen young women rotated through trade worksites across our region one day a week for eight weeks. Hosting employers reported: pre-screened candidates with verified interest, several follow-on work experience placements within 6 months, and direct visibility of young women considering trades who would not otherwise have walked onto their worksite. One participating host has since taken on a Girls-with-Grit graduate as an apprentice.

Multi-employer cohort tasters are the highest-yield Later-horizon engagement available to small trade businesses. You don't host alone, you don't carry the prep cost alone, and the cohort effect lifts the quality of every participant.
