Each year, the North East Local Learning and Employment Network (NELLEN) produces an Environmental Scan on the region covered by its services. This Scan relates to the work undertaken by the NELLEN and its partners with regard to industry/business engagement, education and training, community stakeholders, and parents and families.

Child Safe Standards
The Child Safe Standards have been introduced in Victoria to keep children safe from harm and abuse.
The standards are designed to drive cultural change in organisations, so that protecting children from abuse is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of leaders, staff and volunteers.
To create and maintain a child safe environment, organisations must implement seven standards.
Compliance with Child Safe Standards explains that the standards are compulsory for all Victorian organisations that provide services or facilities for children, including those that are funded and/or regulated by Government, and those that are not.
