Virginia Mansel Lee

Virginia is a retired social work academic who sees her career as being a series of inter-connecting circles. Many years ago, she worked with long term unemployed young people, before working in disability, moving onto sexual assault, NSW TAFE teacher in community welfare and finally an academic in the university sector. During this time Virginia was also Chairperson of a variety of Boards related to the sectors she was working in.

As a social worker Virginia has worked with people of all ages and stages in their lifecycle and as Chairperson of the NELLEN Board where young people engage in their pathway from school to work, the circle returns to work undertaken at the very beginning of her career. Virginia sees herself as a change agent and looks forward to the current re-set for the LLEN network.
